During summer 2010 my friends at Burger Records introduced me to a cassette that was mailed to them, but went unheard for a few months. The band name on the case spine read MMOSS and the music played like out-takes of early Pink Floyd. I was stunned at the variety in songwriting and psychedelia attack.
By fall Burger had picked up the band and released a proper cassette, MMOSS flew out for a west coast tour and by the end of 2010 the band had released it’s self-titled debut on vinyl.
Counting down the rest of 2011, MMOSS are back to work on a new album and the demo for “Hands” emphasizes their powerful song-craft, as well as the visual decay of super 8 home video.
